Forget the Logies and the ARIAs. Brownlow Medal night is the authentic red carpet competitor to the Oscars or the Emmy Awards. I think I can safely contend that most male viewers watch it for the girlfriends and "friends" that grace the red carpet. Seriously now, who really cares about the actual Brownlow Medal winner? No?
